The clients were originally considering removing a feature brick wall and the terra cotta floor - but instead opted for hiding the worst of the brick wall with a run of tall cabinets and painting the exposed brickwork. After giving the floor a good clean it looks beautiful so no need to run to the expense of changing it.
This wonderful living space complete with a table made from one of the cell doors originating from Oxford Jail uses one of the most popular granite options (Absolute Nero Honed) on the outer work surfaces and Black American Walnut for the island. Timber worktops are lacquered and sealed to avoid repetitive maintenance (linseed oiled tops are available if preferred).
