Our Process

What do you mean by a ‘bespoke kitchen’?

A bespoke kitchen is one that is designed, built, and tailored exactly to your needs and aesthetic tastes. Handcrafted, made-to-measure kitchen cabinets that will fit perfectly within your home. We are not using standard cabinets. Instead, our expert team of master craftsmen will create something truly unique to your requirements—each cabinet sitting precisely within the space it was designed for.

Where are your kitchens produced?

Everything is created in our workshop located in the Gloucestershire. Our workshop is staffed by highly skilled and experienced master craftsmen and women. Using their years of experience, precision woodworking techniques, and rigorous attention to detail, they are dedicated to creating the perfect kitchen cabinets for your space.

Do you offer an installation service?

Yes ! We have four installation teams who install our kitchens throughout the UK.

Do you offer home consultations?

Yes! Although we are based in the Gloucestershire, we offer a completely free service to design your kitchen anywhere in the UK.

Do you re-use designs, or will my kitchen be unique?

Every kitchen is a slightly different size and shape, and each client is unique. We rarely find two clients who want the same things from their kitchens, and so far every kitchen we’ve created has been a truly individual project. Skilled joiners employed in our own workshops create all the furniture from scratch, and there’s no surcharge for custom-sized cabinets—guaranteeing clients a highly practical kitchen that will bring years of enjoyment.

Where is the wood sourced from to manufacture your kitchens?

We only use wood from responsible origins and are focused on making all of our kitchens as environmentally friendly as possible.

We only use timber and sheet materials that are deemed to be ethical and which carry certification from the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) or the Program for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC) who promote sustainably managed forests worldwide. We do not use any tropical hardwoods.

Kitchen Finishes & Options

Can you help advise us on colours and styles?

Absolutely! The colour and style of your new kitchen is an enormous decision and we have an abundance of tools, swatches, and suggestions to help you decide on the perfect colours, styles, and materials to use. Rest assured that you won’t be rushed into any decisions on the spot. We want you to feel absolutely confident in your choices and will provide you with as much support and consultation as required to get things right.

Do you supply accessories and appliances?

We can supply all elements for your project and offer sound advice on the finishing touches. Whether it’s hinges and handles, or sockets and taps, we’ll find the perfect product for your chosen design. We only work with high-quality suppliers, who provide everything from specialist worktops and splashbacks, statement lighting, individual hardware, electrical appliances, hobs, and ovens; to practical storage solutions that support your own unique lifestyle.

We only use suppliers that manufacture hard-wearing accessories such as drawer runners and dividers, hinges, and handles. It’s these details that ensure a kitchen works smoothly, and provide that moment of satisfaction you open a cupboard or a drawer!

Costing & Delivery

How much will my bespoke kitchen cost?

That's an impossible question to answer before we've visited you at home and discussed your aspirations and ideas.

We do not work with sales targets and commissions—instead, we rely on the principle that our advice, service, and quality of product will make us a competitive choice.

Our average kitchen price is £25,000 - £30,000, demonstrating our commitment to quality and affordability.

We don’t pretend to be the cheapest or to compete on price with most high street retailers. We provide an exceptionally high level of customer service supported by first-class products built to last a lifetime.

Do you offer a guarantee on your kitchens?

Yes! All kitchens come with a 10-year guarantee for ultimate peace of mind. The guarantee covers all units, doors, hinges, and handles.

How quickly will you be able to deliver my new kitchen?

We normally can offer you a delivery time within 12-16 weeks of placing your order. This time frame reflects the fact that every element of your kitchen is manufactured in our workshop and made specifically for your order. Alternatively, we can hold delivery on your kitchen, we can discuss this before ordering.

We will contact you fourteen days before your delivery to confirm the day we are in your area, and to advise a morning or afternoon delivery slot.

Who can I speak to once my order has been placed?

The first point of contact is always your personal designer in the showroom. However, if you have any queries about delivery, our workshop is the best place to call. Please email info@hugoandblake.com

Can I change my existing order?

All units are made to order, so if you have any changes, they must be advised a minimum of 10 weeks before delivery. As your kitchen is made to order, you cannot cancel or amend any items after this date.

If you are having building work completed, please ask your designer to visit you after any old walls have been removed and any new walls built so that we can check the measurements and ensure that your new kitchen will fit into the allocated space.

Are we expected to travel to your showroom to view the design and quotation?

No. We email and post all designs and quotations. We will revisit you to show you cabinet samples, paint finishes, worktops, and handles. If you can take the time to visit our showroom, it makes a great day out (or even a weekend) and you can combine it with a trip to the nearest workshop (weekdays only).
